Identity verification: what we collect, how it's verified, why it protects you
Identity verification confirms the person opening the account is the individual on the documents provided. You may only have one (1) login on our platform. That is the protection: the account, the record, and any payout belong to that one person.
We collect a current government-issued photo ID in your name, and a live selfie taken in the same session. The ID may be a passport, a national identity card, a driver's licence, or a residence permit. If the document has a back, that side is collected too. From the document, the check uses your name, date of birth, and the document dates.
Didit runs the check. It reads the document, confirms a real person is present, and matches the selfie to the portrait on the ID. A saved photo or a picture of another picture will not pass. The document photo has to be readable: the full document in the frame, corners included, without glare. If the image is blurry, cropped, expired, or does not match the selfie, you may be asked to submit it again.
When the session finishes, Didit returns a decision: approved, declined, or in review. An approved check ties the account to that identity. We request this when you create the account. The steps are in Creating your account and verifying your identity. One trader, one identity. That policy is in One trader, one identity.
